We are a grass roots, volunteer community. We advocate for the protection, preservation and expansion of Tacoma's Urban Forest. An urban forest includes a tree canopy, and it also includes every plant that grows beneath the canopy and every creature that lives within the urban forest.
About Us
Tacoma Urban Forest Friends' (TUFF) is a grassroots effort to dedicated to the protection and preservation of our tree canopy in the City of Tacoma.

To educate the public about the benefits of trees, to advocate for their care, and to steward their survival in a world experiencing the effects of climate change.

TUFF meets frequently with a wide range of organizations serving Tacoma residents to ensure they understand the value of our trees and the need to grow preserve our legacy trees . We are also circulating a petition urging our City Council to protect our existing trees and insist that the city fund the resources necessary to reach our 30% goal by 2030.
